Private School Fee and Uniform Regulations for 2026-27 Academic Session
Starting from November 11, private schools will not be allowed to arbitrarily decide on uniforms, books, study materials, or fees for the new 2026-27 academic session. To enforce this, the Public Education and District Administration have already started preparations.
The School Education Department has issued an order directing all private school managements to submit complete details of proposed fees, uniforms, stationery, and syllabus for the upcoming session on the DPI portal by December 31.
It has also been explicitly ordered that schools cannot write the school name on any material other than the uniform.
According to the Madhya Pradesh Private Schools (Fees and Other Related Matters) Regulation Act, 1917 and Rules 2022 & 2024, it is mandatory for schools to upload all information related to fees, stationery, books, and uniforms on the departmental portal at http://dpimp.in/ in the prescribed formats.
Every new academic session, school managements often increase fees arbitrarily. As per the Private Schools Act 2017, private schools are allowed to raise fees by only 10%. Any increase above 10% requires approval from the District Committee, and above 15% requires approval from the State Committee.
Schools will now be required to declare their new session fees and the percentage of fee increase on the portal by December.
