President Smt. Draupadi Murmu presented National Teacher Award-2024 to seven teachers of the state in a ceremony organized at Vigyan Bhavan. Smt. Sunita Godha, Shri Madhav Prasad Patel and Smt. Sunita Gupta by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education and Prof. Neelabh Tiwari and Prof. Kapil Ahuja by the Department of Higher Education were awarded the National Teacher Award. Smt. Premlata Rahangdale and Shri Prashant Dixit were awarded by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in the program.
Smt. Sunita Godha was honored for creating a positive environment in Government High School, Khajuria Sarang, District Mandsaur. He has created a pleasant classroom environment through assignments and activities to bring regularity in attendance, organised regular Parent Teacher Meetings (PTM), paid personal attention to students and has tirelessly worked to increase the enrolment of students with special needs and economically weaker sections.
Mr. Madhav Prasad Patel is a Science teacher at Government Naveen Madhyamik School, Lidhora, District Damoh. He has built a Science Wall in his school where students can display their curiosity. To develop the habit of reading in rural communities, he has started a mobile library by carrying books on a motorcycle. Through Learning Board and Khet Pathshala, he has taken education beyond the classroom.
Mrs. Sunita Gupta is a Mathematics teacher at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, District Dindori. She has simplified Mathematics by preparing low-cost teaching materials with the help of animated videos and technology. For portals like DIKSHA and SWAYAM, he has developed video scripts for better understanding of e-content and solid shapes. Unique demonstration of doctors of government hospital against Punjab government Prof. Neelabh Tiwari, Head of Education Department at Rashtriya Sanskrit Sanstha, Bhopal, has been teaching for the last 18 years and has made a special contribution to the National Education Policy 2020. He has edited 34 books and written 37 research papers. He has also made significant contributions to the psychology and curriculum development of Indian knowledge tradition in Sanskrit studies and education. Prof. Kapil Ahuja of IIT Indore has 14 years of experience in academic work in the US. Along with research in computer science and engineering, he has given new dimensions to education by starting the first MS course at IIT. He has also been awarded the Best Teacher Award 4 times by IIT Indore. Training Officer of Bhopal's Divisional ITI, Smt. Premlata Rahangdale has imparted skill training to visually impaired students in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant Trade. With her effective guidance, many ITI students have made their career in prestigious institutions like Railways, Banks. Training Officer of Mechanic Diesel Trade of the same institute, Shri Prashant Dixit has made the path of students smooth by developing e-content for Mechanic Diesel Trade. He has made his invaluable contribution in developing Automotive Lab in the institute. Each winner has been awarded a certificate, a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and a silver medal.
