26-year-old Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus remained undefeated in Wuhan and won her fourth title in women's singles this year. Aryna Sabalenka won the Wuhan Open title for the third time by performing brilliantly in the women's singles final on 13 October. In the final, she defeated local Chinese player Zheng Qinwen 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 in a tough three-set match. With this victory, she became the first player to win the Wuhan Open title for the third time. In the final of the Australian Open this year too, Aryna Sabalenka won the title by defeating Zheng Qinwen.
