VBG Ram-Ji Yojana Expanded in Madhya Pradesh to Include Gaushalas, Jal Ganga Campaign, and Horticulture
The Madhya Pradesh government has expanded the scope of the VBG Ram-Ji Yojana to include works related to Gaushalas, Jal Ganga campaign, and horticulture.
The aim of this decision is to accelerate development in these sectors and generate more employment opportunities through the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
Key Features of the Scheme
Gaushala Construction and Management
Under MGNREGA, works will be carried out to make rural Gaushalas self-reliant and sustainable.
Water Conservation (Jal Ganga Campaign)
Emphasis will be given to rejuvenating water sources, constructing ponds and small dams, and other water conservation activities.
Horticulture Development
Activities will be undertaken to promote the cultivation of fruits and vegetables, supporting rural livelihoods.
