Before this, CM Dhami stated that the implementation of UCC will ensure that no discrimination takes place based on gender, caste, or religion in the state.
CM Dhami emphasized, "We have fulfilled the promise we made to the people of the state before the elections. All formalities for implementing UCC have been completed, and all preparations are now in place." He added, "The law aims to build a prosperous society, free of discrimination based on gender, caste, class, or religion." He reiterated that this is a commitment to the people of Uttarakhand and is being fully implemented under the leadership of PM Modi.
