Ujjain gets country's cleanest industrial park award, tops 18 states

Ujjain district has got another big achievement. 'Vikram Udyogpuri' situated on Ujjain-Dewas Road has been declared the cleanest industrial park. This achievement is the result of effective leadership of Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav. Under his leadership, Ujjain is not only making a distinct identity as a cultural religious city, but is also making a national identity in industrial and environmental development. This honor received by Vikram Udyogpuri not only became a proud moment for Madhya Pradesh, but its success and cleanliness story has become an example in the whole country, which will now be considered a model for other industrial parks.

This prestigious award was given by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Piyush Goyal in a grand ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi on 21 November. Executive Director of Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), Shri Rajesh Rathore received this award. A total of 15 industrial parks were honored for cleanliness in this ceremony. Vikram Udyogpuri received this prestigious honour among 140 industrial parks across the country. Union Minister Shri Goyal praised the cleanliness efforts of Indore and Ujjain. He said that this honour for Vikram Udyogpuri is a matter of pride not only for Madhya Pradesh but for the entire country. This honour will definitely make the industries of the state more self-reliant and environment conscious.
