Two Years of Ladli Behna Yojana: ₹28,000 Cr+ Direct Benefit to Women

Transformative Milestone for Women's Empowerment
The revolutionary Ladli Behna Yojana in Madhya Pradesh completed two years this Thursday. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in a state-level event in Sidhi and released the 24th installment of the scheme.
₹28,000+ Crore Transferred Directly to Beneficiaries
CM Dr. Yadav transferred ₹1,551.89 crore in a single click to bank accounts of 1.27 crore women across the state. Additionally, ₹341 crore was given to 56.83 lakh social security pensioners, and ₹30.83 crore was disbursed for LPG cylinder refills to over 26 lakh women.
He remarked, “Every month, we send ₹1,250 to our sisters as a symbol of Raksha Bandhan. When this amount reaches them, prosperity prevails at home.”
Commitment Fulfilled
The CM stated, “Our government, inspired by the values of Lord Shri Ram, is committed to every promise we make. We are proud that Madhya Pradesh honors its Ladli Behna.”
So far, over ₹28,000 crore has been transferred directly to women under this scheme, promoting financial independence and dignity.
Development Initiatives and Cultural Recognition
On the same occasion, the CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth ₹112 crore in Sidhi district. He also praised the Indian Army's “Operation Sindoor” and said it symbolizes India’s cultural heritage and the dignity of womanhood.
Growth in Women-led Startups
Within a year, Madhya Pradesh has seen a 34% growth in women-led startups, reflecting the government’s encouragement toward female entrepreneurship.
