The President's Secretariat issued a statement and renamed Darbar Hall as 'GanatantraMandap'. Ashok Hall has also been renamed as 'Ashok Mandap'. National awards are given in the Darbar Hall of RashtrapatiBhavan. Earlier, the name of the world famous 'Mughal Garden' of RashtrapatiBhavan has also been changed. On 28 January last year, the name of 'Mughal Garden' was changed to 'AmritUdyaan'.
