TTD Provides Subsidized Religious Items to Small Temples

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams to Provide Subsidized Religious Items to Small Temples

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken a significant step to promote Hindu religious activities by offering subsidized religious materials to small Hindu temples. The initiative aims to support the propagation of Sanatan Hinduism and empower economically weaker temples.

Under this plan, TTD will provide items such as microphone sets, umbrellas, sacred cloths, stone statues, and Panchaloha statues to temples. A heavy subsidy will be provided on all these items to ensure that temples face no difficulty in conducting religious rituals and programs.

Subsidy Details

The Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) temples will receive the highest benefit, with subsidies of up to 90%. Temples from other categories such as backward classes will receive subsidies of up to 50%. Special discounts are also offered on audio systems, such as microphone sets.

Microphone Set Subsidy

The total cost of a microphone set is ₹25,000. SC/ST temples will only need to pay ₹2,500, while other category temples will pay ₹12,500. This will greatly benefit temples with limited financial resources.

Impact on Religious Activities

According to TTD, this initiative will not only strengthen religious activities but also improve the management of small temples. Religious rituals, bhajans, discourses, and other programs will now be conducted more efficiently.

How to Apply

Eligible applicants must apply according to the prescribed rules. The application must be submitted along with a Demand Draft (DD) to the Executive Officer, TTD Administrative Building, K.T. Road, Tirupati. For more information, devotees can contact at 0877-2264276.

Additional Subsidy for Statues

Free stone statues of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy and Goddess Padmavathi Ammavaru up to 5 feet will be provided. Other stone statues of deities will receive a 75% subsidy, and only 25% of the cost needs to be paid. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, SC/ST beneficiaries will receive stone statues free of cost and Panchaloha statues at a 90% subsidy.

This initiative by TTD is an important step towards the preservation and promotion of Sanatan Hinduism, ensuring small temples receive the necessary resources to enhance their religious activities and manage operations effectively.
