The selection procedure for the post of Sub-Inspector consists of three stages including -
Stage - I (Written Exam)
The Written Exam has two papers: Paper-I & Paper-II. While Paper-II is mandatory for both technical and non-technical posts applicants, only those applying for technical posts have to appear for Paper-I.
Paper-I Details
The Paper-I is of 100 marks with 100 questions. It has three sections.
Paper-II Details
The Paper-II is of 200 marks with sections on English, Hindi and General Knowledge. Details are given below -

Stage-II (Physical Proficiency Test)
Stage - II is the Physical Proficiency Test (PPT). Depending on the marks scored in the Stage -I, merit list of shortlisted candidates is prepared and they are then required to appear for the Proficiency Test. This consists of both the Physical Measurement and Physical Efficiency tests.

Stage - III (Interview)
The interview is the final round. Candidates shortlisted after the Physical Proficiency Test are invited for the interview. A panel of interviewers questions the participants on their interest in the job profile, their background, relevant current affairs, etc.
