सेना ने स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित मानव-पोर्टेबल एंटी-टैंक गाइडेड मिसाइल (MPATGM) हथियार प्रणाली का सफलतापूर्वक फील्ड परीक्षण किया। इससे सेना के शस्त्रागार में इसे शामिल करने का मार्ग प्रशस्त हो गया है। इस हथियार प्रणाली को रक्षा अनुसंधान और विकास संगठन (DRDO) ने डिजाइन और विकसित किया है। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि समग्र प्रणाली में एमपीएटीजीएम, लांचर, लक्ष्य प्राप्ति उपकरण और एक अग्नि नियंत्रण इकाई शामिल है। रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने इन सफल परीक्षणों के लिए डीआरडीओ और भारतीय सेना की सराहना की है और इसे उन्नत प्रौद्योगिकी-आधारित रक्षा प्रणाली विकास में आत्मनिर्भरता हासिल करने का महत्वपूर्ण कदम बताया है।

The Army successfully field tested the indigenously developed Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) weapon system. This has paved the way for its inclusion in the army's arsenal. This weapon system has been designed and developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). Officials said the overall system includes MPATGM, launcher, target acquisition equipment and a fire control unit. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has praised DRDO and the Indian Army for these successful tests and described it as an important step towards achieving self-reliance in advanced technology-based defense system development.
