Tesla to Open First Showroom in Mumbai on July 15
Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company, Tesla, is all set to open its first showroom in India on July 15. The store will be located in Mumbai and will serve as an experience center where customers can not only buy cars but also explore Tesla’s technology and features up close.
According to Reuters, Tesla recently signed a lease for a 4,000 sq. ft. retail space in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), close to Apple’s flagship store in the city.
Model Y SUV to Launch First
In the first phase, Tesla plans to bring in its popular Model Y SUV, which is currently the world's best-selling electric vehicle. The Model Y is being imported from Tesla’s Shanghai factory and is expected to be priced around ₹48 lakh in India.
The company believes the Model Y will appeal to Indian customers due to its performance, design, and premium features.
