Successful Air Drop Test of ISRO Gaganyaan Mission
On April 10–11, 2026, ISRO successfully completed the second Integrated Air Drop Test (IADT-02) for the Gaganyaan mission at Sriharikota.
Using a Chinook helicopter, a 5.7-tonne crew module was dropped from a height of 3 km to test the parachute recovery system.
This test is a major milestone in ensuring the safe return of astronauts in India’s first human spaceflight mission.
