Tuhin Kanta Pandey Appointed as New Chairman of SEBI

Finance Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). After receiving approval from the Cabinet Appointment Committee, he has been appointed as SEBI's new chairman for a three-year term.

Tuhin Kanta Pandey will replace the current SEBI chairman, Madhabi Puri Buch, who assumed office on March 2, 2022. Her term is set to end on February 28, 2025. Buch made history as SEBI's first female chairperson and completed a three-year tenure.
