SBI Credit Card Late Fees Updated: Charges लागू Even on Small Outstanding Amounts

If you are an SBI Credit Card user, even a small delay in payment can now cost you more. From May 1, 2026, the rules for late payment charges have been revised, introducing penalties even on lower outstanding amounts.
As per the new rules, if you fail to pay the minimum amount due on time, you will be charged higher late fees than before.
Key Changes in Late Payment Charges
- ₹100 – ₹500 Outstanding: Earlier, no late fee was charged in this range. Now, a ₹100 fee will be applied.
- ₹500 – ₹1,000 Outstanding: The late fee has been increased from ₹400 to ₹500.
- Above ₹1,000 Outstanding: No changes have been made to the existing charges.
These changes mean that even small unpaid amounts can lead to additional charges, making it more important than ever to pay your credit card dues on time.
