Saudi Arabia Launches Global Tourism Forum 'TOURIZE'

On May 23, Saudi Arabia announced the launch of a new global tourism platform called ‘TOURIZE’, aimed at building strong partnerships between public and private sectors and crafting a roadmap for the future of global tourism.

Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb officially launched the TOURIZE platform on Thursday and announced that the first TOURIZE Summit will take place in Riyadh from November 11 to 13, 2024.

The announcement was made during a press conference held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, where a large number of international journalists participated virtually.

Described as a “bold new initiative”, TOURIZE will be supported by a high-level global advisory board. Minister Al-Khateeb stated in his address that the forum intends to lay out the vision for tourism for the next 50 years, bringing together public and private stakeholders from around the world.
