Sandeep Kumar Namdev: The Poorest Man in India

In Satna, Madhya Pradesh, the poorest man in India has been found. Sandeep Kumar Namdev, a resident of Amadari village in Uchehra Tehsil, has an annual income of zero. The Tehsildar issued an income certificate for him, which was dated April 7, 2025. This certificate came to light on July 28 on social media.

In this case, Project Officer Ravikant Sharma explained that upon discovering the error, the income certificate was canceled on July 20. After the correction, Sandeep was issued a new income certificate showing an annual income of ₹40,000.
