Sampada 1.0 Closed: E-Registration Now Only on Sampada 2.0

Starting from April 1, 2025, the Sampada 1.0 e-registration portal will be closed. With the beginning of the new financial year, the registration office has issued orders to discontinue the older Sampada 1.0 portal. Property registrations and document filings will now be carried out exclusively through the Sampada 2.0 portal.

Overview of Sampada 1.0

The Sampada 1.0 portal required users to upload scanned documents like Khasra, land rights, loan books, old registrations, receipts from municipal bodies, and certified copies from the department. Moreover, to generate a search report, users had to create a manual map in case there was no available map. The photographs also had to be taken at three different angles, and if the angles were incorrect, there was a risk of changing the location. Additionally, the hard copy of the registration would take time to be delivered.

Overview of Sampada 2.0

In contrast, the Sampada 2.0 portal offers significant improvements. By entering the Khasra number, the complete property record is automatically available, eliminating the need for a separate search report. Geotagged images taken with a mobile app ensure the accuracy of the location. The registration copy is instantly sent via email or WhatsApp in PDF format. Over 20 departments have been integrated electronically, enabling the generation of a unique land parcel identification number and unique IDs for all properties.

Challenges Ahead

A major challenge is that the state records around 6,500 to 7,500 property registrations daily, with more than 50% of them still being processed on Sampada 1.0. As the full transition to Sampada 2.0 occurs, the increased load on the servers may cause delays in the registration process.
