Sabiha Khan Appointed as Apple’s New Chief Operating Officer (COO)

In 2019, Sabiha Khan was appointed as Apple’s Senior Vice President of Operations, and since then, he has been leading the global supply chain, supplier responsibility programs, and the operations team. He played a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic by optimizing the supply chain and partnering with several suppliers for green manufacturing.

After Google and Microsoft, now Apple has also placed its trust in Indian talent, appointing Sabiha Khan as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Khan will replace Jeff Williams in this role. Apple announced this change in a statement on July 8, saying it is part of a "long-planned succession strategy."

Sabiha Khan was born in 1966 in the Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, India. When he was in school, his family moved to Singapore and later settled in the United States. He graduated with a dual bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and then completed his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in New York.

After working as an Application Development Engineer and Key Account Technical Leader at GE Plastics in 1995, Khan joined Apple’s Procurement team. Over the last 30 years, he has held several key roles at Apple.
