Retreat Ceremony at Attari Border Now Scheduled at 5 PM
The daily retreat ceremony at the Wagah-Attari border between India and Pakistan will now be conducted at a new time. Protocol officer Arun Mahal informed the media that the parade timing varies with the sunset.
Previously, the ceremony used to take place between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM. However, starting February 16, 2026, the new schedule has been implemented. According to the updated timing, the retreat parade will now be held from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
This adjustment is made annually considering seasonal changes and daylight hours. Protocol officers have advised tourists from India and abroad to arrive at the border by around 3:00 PM to complete entry, seating, and security formalities and to enjoy the entire parade without any inconvenience.
