Reorganization of Directorate FMIS, creation of 47 new posts and approval of formation of PMU. Announcement made regarding Loktantra Senani was accepted. A meeting of the Council of Ministers was held in the Ministry under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The Council of Ministers approved the reorganization of Directorate Financial Management Information System (FMIS) under the Finance Department and creation of 47 new posts and amendment in the rules and formation of Project Management Unit (PMU). This will further improve the quality and accuracy of financial management of the state. Directorate Financial Management Information System has been in existence since the year 1980. Through this, continuous monitoring of income-expenditure of the state government, main and supplementary budget of the state government, monitoring of cash balance of the state government, loan management of the state government, various financial information and analysis works are carried out on the basis of income-expenditure data received from the Accountant General's Office. Keeping in view the need for continuous changes/improvements in budget processes and greater vigilance and alertness in financial transactions, it was decided to strengthen the present organizational structure of the Directorate of Financial Management Information System.
