Rajat Patidar – The Hero from Madhya Pradesh
Rajat Patidar, hailing from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, became RCB’s eighth captain after legends like Rahul Dravid, Kevin Pietersen, Anil Kumble, Daniel Vettori, Virat Kohli, Shane Watson, and Faf du Plessis. He led RCB in his very first season as captain and guided them to their maiden championship.
This final was RCB’s fourth appearance in an IPL final. They had previously lost finals in 2009, 2011, and 2016, despite having star-studded lineups. But 2025 turned the tide in their favor, establishing Rajat Patidar’s name in cricket history forever.
