Ratlam to Host Regional Industry and Employment Summit on June 27
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that a regional summit focused on industries and employment will be held in Ratlam on June 27 in observance of MSME Day. This is part of the state’s initiatives to promote investment and employment opportunities across Madhya Pradesh.
The announcement came during a cabinet meeting on June 17, where the Chief Minister outlined various development and welfare programs. He shared that a similar large-scale wellness event was successfully organized in Ujjain on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra.
Support Price for Moong and Urad Farmers
The CM informed that the government will procure moong at ₹8,682 per quintal in 36 districts and urad at ₹7,400 per quintal in 13 districts. Farmers can register from June 19 to July 6, and procurement will occur between July 7 to August 6.
Upcoming Metro Launch and Other Highlights
- The first phase of Bhopal Metro will be inaugurated in September, and an invitation will be extended to PM Narendra Modi.
- On June 21, the state will celebrate International Yoga Day as part of "Yoga Sangam", aiming to set national records through extensive public participation in urban bodies, wards, and panchayats.
- For Ladli Behna Yojana beneficiaries, an additional ₹250 will be disbursed on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
Tourism Growth in Madhya Pradesh
Tourism in Madhya Pradesh has shown a 19.6% increase in the past year. In 2024, the state received 13.41 crore domestic tourists and 1.67 lakh foreign visitors. This positions MP as one of the fastest-growing tourism destinations in India.
CM Yadav also directed ministers to review their department's welfare schemes and propose necessary improvements for greater effectiveness.
