Ram Mandir Trust Paid ₹272 Crore GST and Other Payments


The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust was established on February 5, 2020. As of February 28, 2025, ₹396 crore has been paid from the Trust's account, including ₹272 crore in GST. Additionally, ₹39 crore has been paid in TDS, and ₹14 crore has been spent on labor cess over the past five years.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has made a payment of ₹272 crore to the government in the form of GST, along with ₹7.40 crore for the labor fund. The meeting, chaired by the Trust's president, Mahant Nityagopal Das, was held on March 16, with four members attending in person and four virtually. The meeting was also attended by the acting district magistrate due to the retirement of the official member, and two members were absent. The state government official member could not attend due to scheduling conflicts. The position of the late Kameshwar Choupal was vacant.

During the meeting, it was noted that the Trust was formed on February 5, 2020. In the last five years, a total of ₹396 crore has been paid to various government agencies. This includes ₹272 crore in GST, ₹39 crore to government accounts, ₹14.9 crore in royalty, ₹7.4 crore for the labor fund, ₹4 crore for insurance policies, ₹5 crore for the Ayodhya Development Authority for land maps, and ₹29 crore as registration fees and revenue taxes for land purchased in Ayodhya. Additionally, ₹10 crore has been paid as the electricity bill, and ₹14.9 crore has been paid as royalty.

The total expenditure of ₹2150 crore over the past five years has been reported by the Trust. The Trust has also paid 18% tax to the government. The Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam was given the responsibility of the construction work for the Ram Mandir.

It was shared that ₹200 crore has been allocated for the construction of the Ramkatha Museum, auditorium, Trust office, rest area, and the creation of three gates over a 70-acre area. 944 kg of silver has been donated by the Ram Bhaktas to the Government of India, with a purity of 92%. The silver has been turned into 20 kg blocks, which took two years of work to complete.

Regarding the temple construction, it was revealed that the Ram Lalla Temple will be ready by June, the construction of the Parikota will continue until October, the temples of Shabari, Nishad, and Rishis will be completed by May, and the Sesha Avatar temple will be completed by August. The temple construction is now 96% complete, and the statue of Sant Tulsidas has been installed in its place. On Ram Navami, the statue of Tulsidas will be unveiled for public viewing. By April 30, all the idols for the temple will be in place, and a guest house for visitors will be built with nominal charges for pilgrims. From March 29, the Ram Katha by Atul Krishna Bhardwaj will be held at Angad Tila in celebration of Ram Navami.

On Ram Navami, the recitation of the Valmiki Ramayan, Ramcharitmanas, and Thakur Ramayan will take place, along with the chanting of one lakh mantras of Durga Saptashati. At noon, the rays of the Sun will illuminate the forehead of Ram Lalla for around four minutes, with a live broadcast on Doordarshan at more than 50 locations for the general public. LCD screens will be installed in the city to view this event. Larsen & Toubro has been paid ₹1200 crore for the construction of the temple.

In conclusion, it was stated that after Acharya Satyendra Das, no main priest will be appointed for Ram Lalla's worship.
