h1>Ram Mandir to Have 'Nam Mandap' on Second Floor in Ayodhya
The construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is progressing, with plans for the second floor of the temple. The three-story Ram Mandir, which will be 161 feet tall, has Ram Lalla idol installed on the ground floor. The construction of the first and second floors is still underway, and the work on the temple spire is also in progress. The entire Ram Mandir construction is expected to be completed by July 2025.
In a meeting of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust held on November 25, it was discussed to establish a 'Nam Mandap' on the second floor of the temple. At present, a grand idol of Balram is installed on the ground floor, which devotees from around the world visit. The first floor will have the Ram Darbar (Royal Court of Ram), which is being created on marble in Jaipur. This idol is expected to be completed and arrive in Ayodhya by January. After that, the installation of the Ram Darbar will take place.
Earlier, it was decided to leave the second floor vacant, but in the recent meeting, it was decided that another temple would be constructed there. With this, the total number of temples in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex will increase to 19. Currently, 18 temples are being constructed in the complex. In the near future, devotees will be able to visit all these temples. However, the final decision on which idol will be placed on the second floor is yet to be made.
