Rajasthan Mandates Vande Mataram in Schools and Madrasas

On November 5, the Rajasthan government made it mandatory to sing Vande Mataram daily in government offices, schools, colleges, and madrasas. Education Minister Madan Dilawar stated that there are over 3,000 madrasas in the state, and action will be taken against those who do not comply.

Minister Dilawar emphasized that Vande Mataram is not just a song but the soul of India, awakening a sense of patriotism. On November 7, the song will complete 150 years since its creation, and the state government will celebrate it as part of the Year of Patriotism.

Additionally, from the upcoming academic session, 312 government schools will be merged. This includes 155 higher secondary schools with fewer than 25 students and 157 schools with fewer than five enrollments. So far, 449 government schools have already been merged.
