On September 16, PM Modi flagged off the country's first Vande Metro train between Bhuj and Ahmedabad. India's first 20-coach Vande Bharat train will run between Varanasi and Delhi. PM Modi flagged off the metro train in Gandhinagar and inaugurated the first phase of metro rail service. During his Gujarat visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the country's first 'Vande Metro' train between Bhuj and Ahmedabad as well as several other Vande Bharat trains. Along with this, he also inaugurated the metro rail service in Gandhinagar. Other programs of the Prime Minister include the inauguration of the Global Renewable Energy Investment Meet and Expo 2024 in Gandhinagar and the inauguration and foundation stone laying of several development projects worth more than Rs 8,000 crore in Ahmedabad. Vande Bharat trains will be operated on various routes including Kolhapur-Pune, Pune-Hubli, Nagpur-Secunderabad, Agra Cantt to Banaras and Durg to Visakhapatnam.
