PM Vikas Bharat Rozgar Yojana to Launch from August 1, 2025
The Indian government will roll out the employment incentive program, PM Vikas Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY), starting from August 1, 2025. The Ministry of Labour announced the initiative on Friday, stating that the scheme is designed to promote job creation across the country.
Target: 35 Million Jobs in Two Years
Recently approved by the Union Cabinet under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the PMVBRY scheme comes with a budget of ₹99,446 crore. It aims to generate over 35 million jobs in a span of two years, with 19.2 million beneficiaries joining the workforce for the first time.
The scheme applies to all jobs created between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027.
Focus on Manufacturing Sector
This scheme encourages employers to create new jobs, placing special emphasis on the manufacturing sector. The program is structured in two parts: Part A focuses on employees, while Part B is aimed at employers.
- Part A: First-time EPFO-registered employees earning up to ₹15,000 per month will be eligible for benefits.
- Part B: Payments will be made directly to employer accounts linked with their PAN.
Only those employees earning up to ₹1,00,000 per month will be eligible under this scheme. All payments will be made through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode to ensure transparency and simplicity in implementation.
