PM Modi to Inaugurate Narmadapuram Shajapur Railway Stations Today
On May 22, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated 103 railway stations across India as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS). Among the stations inaugurated were six from Madhya Pradesh: Narmadapuram, Shridham, Katni South, Shajapur, Seoni, and Orchha. During the event, which was virtually joined from Bikaner, Rajasthan, PM Modi expressed how the world is astonished by India's ongoing development projects. The Vande Bharat and Namo Bharat trains symbolize the new pace of the country’s progress. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, more than 1300 railway stations across the country are being modernized, showcasing the motto 'Development and Heritage'.
PM Modi stated, "At Orchha station in Madhya Pradesh, the aura of Lord Ram will be felt." The virtual inauguration included six stations from Madhya Pradesh, with CM Mohan Yadav participating from Narmadapuram.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav joined the event from Narmadapuram and said, "This is a changing India in a changing world. Vande Bharat trains and metro coaches will be manufactured at BHEL in Bhopal. With PM Modi’s double-engine government, Madhya Pradesh is moving forward." He also highlighted how PM Modi's leadership showed India’s strength during Operation Sindoor, citing that Pakistan had no support from anyone except three nations after the Pahalgam attack. The terrorists aimed to provoke riots, but under Modi's leadership, the country remained united. This is a victory for democracy and trust in Modi’s leadership.
High-Mast Lighting, Modern Waiting Rooms, Ticket Counters, Ramps
The 103 Amrit Stations have been developed at a cost of over ₹1100 crores under the ABSS. For the six stations in Madhya Pradesh, ₹86 crores have been spent on providing passenger facilities, including high-mast lighting, modern waiting rooms, ticket counters, toilets, and ramps for differently-abled passengers.
Additionally, shelters on platforms, coach indication systems, and digital displays for information have been installed. These stations also showcase Madhya Pradesh’s local art, culture, and traditions.
PM Modi virtually inaugurated 103 stations from Bikaner, Rajasthan, and started his speech by greeting the audience with "Ram Ram." He emphasized how after the Pahalgam attack, India gave its armed forces complete freedom, leading to a strategy that forced Pakistan to surrender.
