Pankaj Choudhary Becomes 17th President of Uttar Pradesh BJP

Pankaj Choudhary, a seven-time Member of Parliament (MP) from the Maharajganj constituency and current Minister of State for Finance, has been appointed as the 17th President of Uttar Pradesh BJP on Sunday. The announcement of his unanimous election was made by Central Election Officer and Union Minister Piyush Goyal.

Outgoing state president Bhupendra Singh Choudhary handed over the party flag to the newly appointed president. Bhupendra Choudhary, who was seated next to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, had Pankaj Choudhary seated next to him on the stage and himself took Pankaj’s previous seat. Pankaj, showing respect, touched the feet of CM Yogi Adityanath to seek blessings.

Pankaj Choudhary’s journey has been one of perseverance and struggle. Without any political family background, he rose through the ranks, serving as a councilor, deputy mayor, and seven-time MP from Maharajganj. He currently holds the position of Minister of State for Finance in the central government.
