फ्रांस गर्भपात को संवैधानिक अधिकार देने वाला दुनिया का पहला देश बन गया है. फ्रांस के सांसदों ने 1958 के संविधान में बदलाव कर महिलाओं को गर्भपात से जुड़े मामले में पूरी तरह से फैसला लेने की आजादी दे दी है. इस संविधान संसोधन के पक्ष में 780 और विरोध में महज 72 वोट पड़े.

France on Monday (4 March) became the first country in the world to give constitutional right to abortion.
