सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने 19 मार्च को नागरिकता (संशोधन) अधिनियम (CAA), 2019 के कार्यान्यवन के खिलाफ सुनवाई की और इसके तहत दी जा रही नागरिकता पर तत्काल रोक लगाने से इनकार कर दिया। कोर्ट ने केंद्र सरकार को 2 अप्रैल (3 हफ्ते के भीतर) तक अपना जवाब सौंपने का आदेश दिया है।

The Supreme Court on March 19 held a hearing against the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), 2019 and refused to immediately put a stay on citizenship being granted under it. The court has ordered the Central Government to submit its reply by April 2 (within 3 weeks).
