13 फरवरी को दुबई में पीएम नरेन्द्र मोदी और यूएई के राष्ट्रपति शेख मोहम्मद के समक्ष कुछ आठ समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किये गये जिनमें दो समझौते यूएई में भारतीय रुपे और यूपीआइ को स्वीकार करने को लेकर है। दुबई में छुट्टी मनाने जाने वाले भारतीय पर्यटकों या वहां काम करने वाले 3.5 लाख भारतीयों को अब वित्तीय लेन-देन के लिए बहुत परेशान होने की जरूरत नहीं है। अगर उनके पास भारत के किसी वित्तीय संस्थान की तरफ से जारी किया गया रूपे डेबिट या क्रेडिट कार्ड है या फिर यूपीआइ आधारित मोबाइल भुगतान एप है तो फिर इससे बेधड़क ही दुबई में भुगतान हो सकेगा।

On February 13, some eight agreements were signed in front of PM Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed in Dubai, of which two agreements are for accepting Indian Rupee and UPI in UAE. Indian tourists visiting Dubai on holiday or the 3.5 lakh Indians working there no longer need to worry too much about financial transactions. If they have a RuPay debit or credit card issued by any financial institution in India or a UPI based mobile payment app, then they can make payments in Dubai without any hassle.
