Nitin Naveen Elected Unopposed as BJP National President
Nitin Naveen has been elected unopposed as the 12th National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The announcement was made on Tuesday at the BJP headquarters, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed him by presenting a garland.
During his 55-minute address, Prime Minister Modi said, “People may think that Modi became a Chief Minister and head of the government at a very young age. But the biggest thing is that I am a worker of the BJP. I believe that Nitin ji is now my boss, and I am a party worker. He will now evaluate my work.”
Modi further stated, “This is the BJP — a party that celebrates victory but also reviews its shortcomings and makes proper use of time to overcome them. We must remember that only those who avoid the evils of the Congress will lead the nation forward.”
Nitin Naveen’s First Address as Party President
In his first speech as BJP President, Nitin Naveen said, “We belong to a political party where politics is not about power, but devotion. Politics is not enjoyment, but sacrifice. It is not luxury, but penance. Politics is not a position, but a responsibility.”
Nitin Naveen was appointed as the Executive President of the BJP on 14 December 2025.
Former BJP President J. P. Nadda also spoke on the occasion and said, “Under Naveen’s leadership, the party will expand its reach into new states. The lotus will bloom even in regions where the BJP has not yet achieved success, such as West Bengal, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, Assam, and Kerala.”
