Union Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Annapurna Devi inaugurated the newly designed website and SHe-Box portal of the Women and Child Development Department. On this occasion, officials of Women and Child Development Department of all the states were virtually connected. All the features available in the new website of Women Development Department https://www.wcd.gov.in/ are very convenient. Chatbot has also been given in it for the convenience of the general public. Links of Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya etc. have also been given in it. From where it can be easily accessed. This initiative is an important step towards protecting the rights of women and providing them a safe workplace.
SHe-Box Portal
SHe-Box portal has been created to register complaints of sexual harassment of women employees working in the organized or unorganized private or public sector of the Center and the State. Any woman facing sexual harassment at work place can register her complaint online through this portal. Complaints registered through the portal are kept completely confidential. Once the complaint is registered in She-Box, it will be directly sent to the concerned authority having jurisdiction to take action. These complaints will be monitored by officials of the internal committees of the organizations. This portal is open not only for government employees but also for women working in the private sector.
