Work is being done rapidly to strengthen the road network in Madhya Pradesh. Many important projects are being run simultaneously in the state to increase the network of roads. At the beginning of the year i.e. in the month of January itself, Madhya Pradesh got the gift of 24 national highway projects. The foundation stone and inauguration of these projects costing a total of 10 thousand 405 crores was done in the programs organized in Bhopal and Jabalpur. Now the situation is that work is being done on road projects worth about 40 thousand crores in the state. Through these big projects, MP's connectivity with 5 states of the country will increase. In these projects worth crores, many wide highways will be built in the state. Many 6 lane and 4 lane roads will be constructed.
Emphasis is being laid on the development of infrastructure in MP. For this, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has asked to speed up the work of extensive expansion of roads in the state. Many big road projects are going on in MP, which will not only increase connectivity but will also accelerate development through roads. Under these schemes worth thousands of crores, many new highways are being built, many 6 lane and 4 lane roads are being built. The process has intensified for those 15 national highway projects in MP whose foundation stone was laid in Bhopal. 498 km long roads are to be built at a cost of Rs 8,038 crore. Along with this, the work on the 9 projects whose foundation stone was laid in Jabalpur has also started. In these projects, 226 km long roads will be built at a cost of Rs 2,367 crore.
The big road project includes the work of expansion of NH-46 into 6 lanes and expansion of NH 146B into 4 lanes. Along with this, many 2-lane roads are also being constructed for connectivity in different areas of the state. The Center has approved road projects worth a total of Rs 40 thousand crore to develop permanent infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh. All parts of the state will be connected through these projects. The special thing is that these national highway projects will make MP's connectivity with 5 states of the country easier. The new 6 lane and 4 lane NH will directly connect MP with northern states like Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi as well as western states like Maharashtra and Gujarat.
