NDA's Historic Victory in Bihar 2025 Assembly Elections – Key Factors
In the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, NDA achieved a historic victory with BJP emerging as the largest party. The win reflects public trust in development, good governance, and social justice. NDA won 202 out of 243 seats, while RJD’s seats fell from 75 to 25. Congress contested 61 seats but won only 6, significantly less than 19 seats last time.
Key Reasons for NDA's Victory in Bihar
1. Modi-Nitish 'Double Engine'
The leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar emphasized development and good governance. The public appreciated welfare schemes over the past 10 years focusing on poor, youth, farmers, and women. BJP leader Amit Shah said this is a victory for every citizen who believes in a developed Bihar. Politics based on lawlessness or appeasement will no longer succeed. The voters now vote based on 'politics of performance'. Modi, Nitish, and all NDA leaders and workers were congratulated for this remarkable result. The effort from booth to state level contributed to this achievement.
2. Record Women's Participation
With a record 66.91% voter turnout, women voted more than men, reflecting the success of Nitish Kumar's women-centric policies like 50% reservation and bicycle schemes. Women voted under the 'ME factor' (Women + EBC), helping NDA secure 48.3% vote share.
