Narayana Students Win Two Gold Medals, India Secures 5 Medals at IOAA 2025
Narayana Educational Institutions celebrated a historic double victory as two of its students, Banibrata Maji and Akshat Srivastava, won gold medals at the prestigious 18th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) 2025 held in Mumbai from August 11 to 21.
Representing India on a global stage, Banibrata and Akshat competed against over 300 of the world's brightest young minds in the field of astronomy and astrophysics. Their golden success significantly contributed to India’s outstanding overall performance, with Team India winning 4 gold medals and 1 silver, out of which 2 golds were bagged by Narayana students.
The IOAA is regarded as one of the most challenging academic competitions in the world. It tests participants' advanced theoretical knowledge, data analysis, and observational skills in astronomy and astrophysics, making this achievement a remarkable demonstration of talent, dedication, and perseverance.
