TIME Magazine released its first-ever TIME100 Philanthropy List on May 20, recognizing the top 100 philanthropists from around the world. Among them are Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani. The couple donated ₹407 crore in 2024 through the Reliance Foundation, which works in education, healthcare, rural development, and women empowerment.

Ambani Family Among World’s Wealthiest
Earlier, Bloomberg listed the Ambani family 8th among the world’s 25 richest families with a net worth of ₹8.45 lakh crore. The Mistry family from India was ranked 23rd with ₹3.5 lakh crore. The Walton family (Walmart) topped the list, followed by royal families from the UAE and Qatar.
