MP SI Recruitment 2025 – Major Relief as High Court Grants Three-Year Age Relaxation
MP SI Recruitment: A major decision has been announced for the youths regarding the Madhya Pradesh Subedar/Sub-Inspector Recruitment 2025. Amid the controversy over the age limit, the Gwalior Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued an important interim order granting an additional three-year relaxation in the maximum age limit.
High Court Grants Three-Year Age Relaxation in MP SI Recruitment
With this interim order, candidates up to 36 years from the General/EWS category and up to 41 years from Female/OBC/SC/ST categories will now be eligible to apply.
Chance to Apply Even After the Last Date
The last date for applying to this recruitment was 10 November, but due to the dispute over age limit, many candidates approached the High Court. Advocate Manish Kumar argued on behalf of the petitioner that due to lack of recruitment after the COVID period, the age of candidates has increased and they should receive the earlier age relaxation of three years.
After hearing the arguments, the court directed the department to accept the petitioner’s application and allow them to participate in the entire selection process. However, the result shall not be declared until further permission from the High Court. The court clarified that this relief is “purely interim” and the entire process will depend on the final decision of the court.
Hope Rises Among Other Candidates
Legal experts believe this order brings hope for other candidates demanding age relaxation. If the High Court grants permanent relaxation in upcoming hearings, the government may have to reopen the application window or issue a revised age limit order.
Notice Issued – Response Sought Within Four Weeks
The court has issued notices to the state government and other respondents. Notices must be sent via RAD/Speed Post within seven working days; otherwise, the petition will be considered dismissed. The state has been given four weeks to submit a reply. The case will be listed again after notice service.
