MP Board Declares Best Results in 15 Years: Class 10 at 76.22%, Class 12 at 74.48%
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has declared the Class 10 and 12 board exam results for 2024. This year, 76.22% of Class 10 students and 74.48% of Class 12 students have passed, marking the best performance in the last 15 years. Girl students have outperformed boys once again. Students who failed will be given another chance to appear for the exams.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav officially released the results with a single click at 10 AM on May 6.
Key Highlights:
- Class 10 pass percentage: 76.22% (up by 18.12% from 2023's 58.10%)
- Class 12 pass percentage: 74.48% (up by 9.99% from last year's 64.49%)
- Topper (Class 10): Pragya Jaiswal from Singrauli scored a perfect 500/500
- Girls outperform boys: In Class 10, 79.27% girls passed vs 73.21% boys; In Class 12, 77.55% girls passed vs 71.37% boys
- Merit list: 212 students in Class 10 merit list (144 girls), 159 students in Class 12 merit list (89 girls)
Second Chance for Failed Students:
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that students who have failed will not lose their academic year. MP becomes the third state in India to offer biannual board exams. Students will get another chance to improve their scores.
Supplementary Exam Details:
Students who failed or want to improve their marks can appear for the supplementary exam starting from June 17. Applications for the second exam will be accepted between May 7 and May 21.
