On February 24, the attendance of officers, employees, and guest professors in the state’s government colleges through the Sarthak app has been made mandatory since July last year. However, the attendance has not been recorded online as expected. Despite this, the Higher Education Department is continuously working on improving the online attendance system. Currently, only 60% of the attendance is being recorded through the app.
In light of this, the Higher Education Department has issued a letter to all regional directors, instructing them that starting from March 1, the attendance of all staff must be recorded through the Sarthak app. Failure to do so will result in the withholding of salaries and further action will be taken. The directive also states that a list of all officers, employees, guest professors, and other staff should be compiled. According to this list, the login for officers and employees will be their Treasury Employee Code, while for guest professors, the mobile number will serve as their login ID. All regional directors have been given time until February 28 to complete this task. From March 1, attendance will be recorded exclusively through the Sarthak app.
