Malhargarh Police Station from Mandsaur Selected as One of the Top 10 Police Stations in India
Malhargarh Police Station, located in the Mandsaur district, has been ranked 9th in the country among the best police stations for the year 2024-25. The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India conducts an annual evaluation of police stations across the country and selects the top 10 police stations based on criteria such as crime prevention, law and order, disposal of old cases, community policing, crime conviction, and field surveys.
The ranking was announced by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD) during the All India Directors General of Police/Inspectors General of Police (DGP/IGP) Conference held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The information was shared by DGP Shri Kailash Makwana, who expressed his happiness over this achievement and congratulated the Superintendent of Police of Mandsaur district and the entire staff. He also encouraged other police stations in Madhya Pradesh to strive for excellence.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, annually selects the top police stations based on various factors, including crime statistics, efforts in resolving cases related to women, vulnerable sections, property-related crimes, and the identification of missing and unidentified bodies. For the ranking of police stations, the Ministry set 70 different parameters. After evaluation, Malhargarh Police Station from Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, was ranked 9th in the country.
