Madhya Pradesh Utsav was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. 'Madhya Pradesh Utsav' is being organized from 30 August to 2 September at Madhya Pradesh Bhawan in the capital Delhi. It will have a grand display of the state's rich art, tourism, cultural heritage, public welfare schemes and achievements. Special dishes of different regions of the state - Malwa, Vindhya, Mahakaushal and Bundelkhand will also be served. Exhibitions will be organized in the festival focusing on handloom, handicrafts, ODOP products, GI products, cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh and achievements of the government. Forest produce and medicinal products of the state will be available for purchase at Vindhya Herbals' sale-cum-exhibition stall and handloom and handicraft products of the state will be available for purchase at Mriganayani's stall with special discounts. Information about various welfare schemes being run by the government will be provided through audio and visual medium at the stall of the Public Relations Department and promotional material will be distributed to the visitors. Information and booking of tourism packages and products of the state has been arranged at the Madhya Pradesh Tourism exhibition.
Cultural Program
Cultural evenings will be organized every day during this four-day festival. On the first day of the festival, classical singing of Sangeet Natak Akademi Award winner Ms. Kalapini Komkali will be presented. On the second day, Odissi dance of renowned Odissi dancer Bindu Juneja will be presented. On the third day, an instrumental group will be presented using the Naal Tarang of Maihar Gharana and other traditional musical instruments. On the last day, folk songs will be presented by regional artists, which includes Bagheli folk songs of Rewa by Mr. Shashikumar Pandey and Nimari folk songs of Khandwa by Ms. Aalochana Mangrole.
Aahaar Utsav
Aahaar Utsav will have main dishes from different regions of Madhya Pradesh. Visitors can taste Malwa Thali, Bundelkhand Thali, Nimar Thali and Baghelkhand Thali. For this, food stalls will be set up by Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation. Apart from this, visitors can also enjoy special dishes like Bhutte Ka Kees, Indori Poha, Maheri, Sevbhaji, Nimona, Bafla, Churma Laddu, Millet Kheer, etc.
