30% Growth in Startups and 34% in Women-led Startups in One Year – New Startup Policy Launched

Increase in Startups
To promote innovation and entrepreneurship, the Madhya Pradesh Startup Center recorded notable achievements in FY 2024-25. The number of recognized startups in the state increased from 4,012 to 5,230, reflecting a 30% growth. Women-led startups rose by 34%, from 1,864 to 2,490, highlighting a strong focus on women entrepreneurship. The total number of startups in the state has now crossed 5,300.
New Direction in Investment
Over the past year, the state government partnered with SEBI-approved Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) to ensure funding for startups. Out of five selected AIFs, three – Silver Needle, Equanimity Ventures, and Unicorn India Ventures Fund – invested ₹10.90 crore in total, with ₹3.03 crore contributed by the government.
Policy Launch at Global Investors Summit
During the Global Investors Summit 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the new “Madhya Pradesh Startup Policy and Implementation Plan 2025.” Over 2,500 startups participated, and 20 startups pitched their ideas to investors during the “Future Frontiers: Startup Pitching Session.” Out of these, 19 received expressions of interest from investors.
Support for Women and Agri-Startups
A “State Women Entrepreneurs Conference” was held on August 13, 2024, to connect women entrepreneurs with key schemes. Over 40 women-led startups participated. Agri-based startups were provided funding opportunities through the GAP Fund and engaged in various support programs.
Statewide Startup Awareness Campaigns
Throughout the year, the Madhya Pradesh Startup Center conducted and participated in over 50 programs, engaging with more than 20 academic institutions, industry bodies, and government departments, including international events. Initiatives like the Regional Industries Conclave and the RAMP scheme helped raise startup awareness.
Strengthening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Culture
Events like “Startup Clinics,” “Startup Guidance Sessions,” and “Incubator Outreach Workshops” played a key role in nurturing a startup ecosystem across the state. The MP Startup Center has successfully established an environment of innovation, investment, and collaboration.
