Madhya Pradesh Announces Space Tech Policy and IT Investments Worth ₹20,000 Crores
On April 27, the Madhya Pradesh government announced its first-ever Space Tech Policy. This was declared by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav during the Tech Growth Conclave 2025. The government is also working on setting up Excellence Centers for Cybersecurity and AgriTech. During the one-day conclave, IT sector investment proposals worth ₹20,000 crores were received, with the promise of creating employment opportunities for 75,000 people, both directly and indirectly.
Out of the 99 proposals in the IT sector, over 24 will be immediately implemented. The Space sector is also expected to receive an investment of ₹1,500 crores. The Chief Minister announced that a complete ecosystem for IT companies will be created across the state, with 12 major announcements and 4 new policies being introduced, including the Global Capability Center, Semiconductor Policy, AVGC-XR Policy, and the MP Drone Policy.
Universities' vacant land will also be utilized to set up IT parks. The first project will be at Indore University. In Bhopal, a ₹1,500 crore electronics manufacturing cluster will be developed at Barasia. Senior leaders like Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Tulsi Silawat, MP Shankar Lalwani, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav, CS Anurag Jain, and ACS Sanjay Dubey were also present at the event.
Chief Minister's One-on-One Discussions with Entrepreneurs
The Chief Minister also held one-on-one discussions with representatives of more than 19 IT companies and entrepreneurs. During the session, Atul Chauradia proposed an investment of ₹5,000 crores for a data center. The conclave saw the participation of over 500 companies, with representatives from Japan and South Korea attending as well.

- AgriTech Center of Excellence will be established at IIT Indore.
- Cybersecurity Center of Excellence to be set up.
- An integrated platform for digital innovation, creative education, and skill development will be created, called IRCCT.
- MPDEM (Madhya Pradesh Digital Empowerment Mission) will be formed to promote investments.
- Facility centers will be set up in 4 new IT parks.
- IT startups will be incorporated under the Department of Science and Technology (DST).
- Plug and Play facilities will be provided at DAVV Indore.
- Establishment of 4 regional investment centers and new portals for investment incentives, compensation appointments, MPURC, and HRMS app.
