Madhya Pradesh Announces First Model Rate for Soybean under Bhavantar Scheme
Date: 7 November 2025
The Madhya Pradesh government has made a major decision for soybean-producing farmers. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that under the Bhavantar scheme, the state government will set a model rate for soybean at over ₹4000 per quintal.
The Chief Minister stated that the government is committed to farmers and is working for their welfare. Under this scheme, soybean farmers will receive an additional ₹1,300 per quintal on top of the minimum support price (MSP). This benefit will start reaching farmers from 13 November, when the payment will be distributed.
Dr. Mohan Yadav further said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is implementing welfare and development programs, moving forward on the path of a strong India and strong Madhya Pradesh.
The MSP for soybean has been fixed at ₹5328 per quintal. Complaints from various purchase centers highlighted that farmers were facing significant losses. Considering this, the government decided to provide ₹1,300 per quintal under the Bhavantar scheme based on the newly announced model rate. This decision brings significant relief to farmers, as previously they were unable to sell their produce at the MSP. Now, they will easily receive the minimum support price amount.
