Chunavi Year 2028: Madhya Pradesh Employees to Get 8th Pay Commission Benefits
In Madhya Pradesh, the benefits of the 8th Pay Commission are expected to be given to employees in the election year 2028. Around 6.06 lakh government employees will get salary hikes under the new pay scale.
Central Government Approval
The Central Government has approved the rules and conditions of the 8th Pay Commission for central employees and pensioners. After the notification is issued, the Commission will formally begin its work. This has created excitement among Madhya Pradesh employees regarding the new pay scale.
Reason for Delay in MP
The state employees and pensioners may benefit from the 8th Pay Commission only in 2028 because the central government’s pay commission report may take at least two years to be finalized. After that, the state will implement it according to its requirements. Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh are scheduled for 2028, and the government is likely to provide the benefits during the election year.
Estimated Salary Increase
The 8th Pay Commission is expected to increase government employees’ salaries by 20-25%. The exact increase in basic salary depends on the fitment factor and DA merge. In the 7th Pay Commission, the fitment factor was 2.57, while it may be around 2.46 in the 8th Pay Commission. Previously, the 7th Pay Commission was implemented before the 2017 assembly elections.
