• DRDO Missile Test: Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted a flight test of the Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile at KK Range, Maharashtra. This third-generation missile precisely hit a moving target.
• Oscar 2026 Indian Film Nominations: Five Indian films have qualified for the Best Picture category: Kantara (Kannada), Tanvi the Great (Hindi), Tourist Family (Tamil), Mahavatar Narasingh, and Sister Midnighter (Hindi-UK).
• UN Award for Major Swati Shanta Kumar: Indian Army's Major Swati Shanta Kumar was honored with the UN Secretary-General Award 2025 for promoting women's participation in peacekeeping in South Sudan.
• Pankhudi Digital Portal Launch: The Ministry of Women & Child Development launched the Pankhudi portal, a single-window platform connecting government, citizens, NGOs, corporates, and NRIs for women and child welfare schemes.
• Akasa Airlines Joins IATA: Akasa Airlines became the fifth Indian airline to join IATA after passing the safety audit. Currently, Akasa is part of a network of over 360 airlines worldwide.
• Param Shakti Supercomputer: India has developed an advanced supercomputing facility at IIT Madras under the National Supercomputing Mission. The Param Shakti system, based on the Param Rudra platform, performs over 3 quadrillion calculations per second. Built by C-DAC and running on open-source software, it accelerates climate modeling, nuclear research, aerospace, material science, drug discovery, and AI research.
