• Divya Deshmukh: Divya Deshmukh won the FIDE Women's Chess World Cup title. She became the first Indian woman to win the Women's Chess World Cup and the fourth female Grandmaster from India.
• Vaishnavi Adkar: Vaishnavi Adkar became the first Indian woman tennis player to win a medal at the World University Games, securing a bronze in singles. She is the second Indian to win a medal since 1979.
• Asia Cricket Cup 2025: The Asia Cricket Cup 2025 will be held in the UAE, hosted by India. The tournament will take place from 9th September to 28th September, with India and Pakistan in the same group.
• RBI Appointment: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced the appointment of Anuradha Thakur, the Secretary of Economic Affairs, to its central board. She will replace Ajay Seth, who retired on 30th June.
